Apple has brought out two new products, which both start at just $599!
The Neo
The new MacBook Neo is Apple’s newest affordable, entry-level laptop, featuring a 13-inch display. On the inside, it has the A18 Pro chip, which originally was designed for iPhones.
The laptop comes with 8GB of memory, with storage options ranging from 256GB or 512GB, which is just enough for everyday tasks like web browsing and schoolwork.
When Apple designed the Neo, it tried to balance performance with affordability, which explains the trade-offs like non-upgradeable memory and limited ports.
The iPhone 17e
Apple also released the iPhone 17e, the most affordable model in the iPhone 17 lineup. The phone includes 256GB of base storage, which is double that of the 16e.
The 17e features a 6.1-inch display and the newest A19 chip, which improves performance for gaming and multitasking.
It does lack some premium features, like multiple rear cameras that other 17 lineup phones have, but it still offers the basic modern features that consumers expect out of a smartphone.
With the release of the affordable Apple lineup, we can most definitely expect more companies to jump on this affordability bandwagon to compete.
